We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Wash Up Assistant to join our team. This role involves maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen by ensuring that all crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots, and pans are washed, sanitised, and ready for use. You will be a vital part of the kitchen team, supporting the chefs and kitchen staff by keeping the workspace organised and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitise all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment using both manual and industrial dishwashing methods.
• Ensure that all cleaning and sanitising meet health and safety standards.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen surfaces, including floors, worktops, and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste correctly, sorting and recycling where appropriate.
• Handle dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment responsibly, reporting any maintenance needs.
• Restock clean items in their designated places promptly to avoid kitchen delays.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction well.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
