Mint Music is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Landscaping & Garden Maintenance Assistant to help maintain and care for the outdoor spaces at our Yorkdale-area location in Toronto.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces, and is comfortable and effective working independently and with a team

What You’ll Do

• Maintaining flower beds and vegetable gardens on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Perform general lawn care including mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup
• Weed, water, prune, and maintain outdoor plants, lawns and landscaping
• Help ensure the property remains clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Assist with seasonal planting and garden upkeep
• Monitor outdoor areas and report any maintenance concerns when necessary
• Perform general outdoor maintenance and light labour tasks as required
• Harvesting vegetables and produce when appropriate

What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Good knowledge of perennial and annual flowers, vegetables and fruit trees
• Comfortable performing physical outdoor work in varying seasonal weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean outdoor spaces
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic knowledge of lawn, soil and garden care and maintenance
• Previous landscaping, gardening and property maintenance experience
• Keen interest and experience in horticulture, gardening, or outdoor property care

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep familiarity with perennial and annual flowers, fruit trees, organic vegetable gardening, composting and being able to spot various diseases or insect infestations and treating them before they become a major problem.
• Experience operating and maintaining light machinery, including lawn care equipment and a wide range of gardening and lawn maintenance tools
• Having a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to transport and pickup supplies is preferred
• Knowledge of native plants, bees, butterflies, birds and other pollinators an asset

Position Details

• Part-time position
• Approximately 1-2 days per week depending on the time of year
• Flexible scheduling to be coordinated with management
• Outdoor work based at our Yorkdale-area Toronto location

Compensation

• $25–$35 CAD per hour
• Compensation based on experience and qualifications
