Shredder is Colorado’s first year-round ski and snowboard business dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of snow sports. Shredder offers classes for children ranging from 10 months to 10 years old. We also offer additional "special events", including birthday parties, "parents' night out" (PNO) evening childcare, and/or seasonal day camps.

As a Part-Time Special Event Supervisor, you would be expected to bring tremendous energy and safe supervision to birthday parties, PNOs, and/or camps (please note that camps happen less frequently - primary responsibility would be parties and/or PNOs).

Birthday Parties are 1.5-2 hours and take place on Saturdays and/or Sundays from approx. 4:00pm - 6:30pm (varies based on party start time). Birthday Party responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Expect to arrive 30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after party
• Set-up of facility, including constructing a gymnastics mat fort, arranging bouncy air track, arranging eating area for cake/food, etc.
• Supervising games, air track, sledding, and/or skiing/snowboarding for party participants (based on party type)
• Clean-up of facility, including disposing garbage, taking down fort, and arranging facility for classes the following day

Parents' Night Out evenings take place on every other Friday evenings throughout the Fall and Winter seasons. Parents drop their kid(s) from 5:00-9:00pm. Activities include games, skiing/snowboarding, pizza dinner, movies, and more. PNO responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Expect to arrive 30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after PNO
• Assisting children in gearing up and skiing/snowboarding
• Ordering and facilitating pizza dinner for kids
• Arranging movie, crafts, or other provided activities
• Clean-up of facility, including disposing garbage, vacuuming, or other actions as needed

Shredder offers Seasonal Day Camps during some holiday breaks and throughout the summer. Children can attend either half-day or full-day camps, bringing their own snacks and lunch, as needed. Camp run from 9:00am-4:00pm. Camps instructor responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Expect to arrive 30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after camps times
• Assisting children in gearing up and skiing/snowboarding; constructing gymnastics mat forts; etc.
• Facilitating snack breaks and lunch breaks
• Arranging movie, crafts, or other provided activities
• Clean-up of facility, including disposing garbage, vacuuming, or other actions as needed

Additional information:

• There will be a total of 2-3 staff members working each event
• Maintain high energy and enthusiasm throughout the entire class period, continuously encouraging the kids and providing clear, constructive feedback
• Ensure safety of children at all times; be diligent and attentive to all children in your group
• Have general knowledge of skiing/snowboarding fundamentals OR be willing to learn our methods/terms (not a requirement)
• Be flexible and a team player! Kids can be unpredictable, so keeping patience and a positive attitude is key!

Schedules are subject to change. For example, some weekends may have no birthday party scheduled while others have a party on both Saturday and Sunday. Flexibility is appreciated.
