The role

Just Tennis is hiring a part-time racquet stringer in San Diego. You'll string tennis racquets for our customers and online orders.

Just Tennis is a San Diego tennis and pickleball specialty shop selling in-store and online through our own site and Amazon. Players come to us for expert advice on racquets, strings and gear, and our stringing is a big part of why they come back.

What you'll do

• String and restring tennis racquets to customer specs (tension, string type, hybrids, pre-stretch)
• Check racquets for frame damage and worn grommets; replace grommets, bumpers and grips
• Keep accurate job tickets and hit promised turnaround times
• Keep the stringing machine calibrated, clean and maintained
• Help on the sales floor or with order packing when the stringing queue is clear

What we're looking for

Required

• Hands-on experience stringing tennis racquets (or willingness to be trained, if you play and are mechanically handy)
• Attention to detail — every racquet goes back exactly as ordered
• Reliable availability Mondays and Wednesdays

Nice to have

• USRSA Certified Stringer or Master Racquet Technician
• Experience on electronic constant-pull machines
• Pickleball or badminton/squash stringing experience
• You play tennis and can talk gear with customers

Schedule and pay

• Days: Monday and Wednesday, every week; a third day may be added based on demand
• Hours: about 12–18 hours/week (store hours, exact shifts set together)
• Pay: $20–$25/hr depending on experience and certification

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
