Position Purpose: As a Rentals/Stock Associate you are fast, friendly and efficient. You are familiar with how tools operate and can demonstrate them to customers who rent them. A Rental Associate must know how to use a rental program software and Point of Sale system.

In between assisting customers, you may be receiving and pricing merchandise, build displays, set up merchandise to sell, provide house keeping, answering telephones, assist with heavy lifting bringing out merchandise to the sales floor, repair windows and screens.

Knowledge in small engine maintenance and repair a requirement.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to understand computer software programs, store procedures and policies
  • 1-2 years of prior retail or industry related experience is beneficial
  • Willingness to learn and expand with company developments
  • Ability to work cooperatively in team atmosphere
  • Maintain a positive attitude, while executing excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on a daily basis.

Duties/Responsibilities:

*Actively seek out and offer a friendly greeting throughout the entire store

*Ask open ended questions to be able to determine their needs and find a solution that the customer finds satisfaction with.

*Be enthusiastic with the customer and show compassion when appropriate to do so.

*When possible, bring customer to the product regardless of what department.

*Describe the features and benefits of the product along with the steps needed to complete the product.

*Thank the customer, not the other way around.

*Provide specialized knowledge in rental tools and associated products to go with them.

*Provide beginner knowledge in all other departments.

*Provide additional services to customers such as: blade sharpening, dispensing propane, repair screens and glass, help customers bring their paid merchandise to their vehicles etc...

*Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

*Willing to participate in seminars, webinars, training sessions and meetings as required to expand your knowledge.

*Complete all Health and Safety Training required by government and company regulations.

*Work in a safe manner in accordance to all safety legislation.

*Report any potential hazards and unsafe working environment to management in order to have it corrected.
