We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at our veterinary clinic located in Hixson, TN. As a locally owned and managed practice, we prioritize a niche approach with an emphasis on Fear Free techniques and excellent customer service. Our goal is to create a low-stress environment for both pets and their owners, which in turn reduces stress for our team. Please note that we focus solely on medical services; we do not offer boarding or grooming.

The ideal candidate will communicate cheerfully, clearly, and professionally, both in person and over the phone. This is a part-time role, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. **What to Look Forward To:**

• Greeting clients as they arrive at the clinic.
• Managing a multiple-line phone system.
• Scheduling appointments efficiently for the clinic.
• Obtaining and maintaining current patient records and client information.
• Accurately relaying messages to team members and clients.
• Handling payment transactions, balancing the cash drawer, and preparing deposit slips.
• Recording all communications with clients, including phone calls, in-person interactions, texts, and emails.
• Performing general housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning exam rooms, maintaining the front lobby, assisting with kennel and treatment area cleaning, laundry, and dishes.
• Providing client education.
• Learning and developing new protocols, such as Fear Free Certification, and more.

Offering:

• Hourly wage range based on experience starting at $11 for no experience but will scale pay to meet experience or more with a sign-on bonus if experienced in the veterinary field in this position.
