Introduction:
The sport generates $844.8 million in economic activity, about $3 billion in wagering, returns $70 million in prizemoney, and directly involves over 18,000 people.
Our vision for Victorian greyhound racing is "a vibrant and inclusive sport underpinned by world leading animal welfare and integrity". GRV's strategic priorities include world leading integrity and welfare, growing the audience and fan base, proactively sharing our stories and investing for now and the future.
Description:
GRV’s Participant Services team are the face and voice of GRV, providing timely and quality service to participants and visitors in person, over the phone, and by email. The team undertakes important work to support the delivery of Australia's busiest racing program by recording race nominations and scratchings and ensuring the welfare of greyhound by implementing GRV’s hot weather policy, admitting greyhounds into our Adoption Programs and assisting with reuniting lost greyhounds via GRV’s Microchip Registry.
Racing to the opportunity
Our Participant Services Officers deliver professional, timely and friendly customer service to existing industry participants and those who are new to racing. We have one full-time, ongoing opportunity to work between our West Melbourne office and home (as hybrid working is our norm).
Are you a customer service star? Fantastic, those skills will serve you well as you handle inbound phone calls, respond to enquiries, and support the management team. You’ll build warm and genuine relationships with our participants (who’ll share some interesting and creative dog names with you) as you work with them to name their greyhounds. You will also assist our participants to enter their greyhounds into our Adoption Programs, hearing some stories about greyhound antics and behavior along the way.
How are your administration skills? They’ll come in handy as you’ll be supporting GRV’s regulatory responsibilities by registering litters and greyhounds using established processes. You’ll also generate reports and contribute to training material including standard operating procedures. You will also assist in managing compliance to vaccination and other rules.
If you have the knack for improving processes and lifting service standards, we want you!
Skills and Experiences:
Let's talk benefits!
When you join our team, you become part of something bigger. We’re all here to make a positive difference and have fun along the way. We’ll provide you with interesting and rewarding work, assisting participants to find their way, alongside ongoing professional development and a work-life balance to tie it in a bow.
We support our people with access to free and confidential counselling, ongoing professional development, and dog friendly workplaces.
