Partnership Outreach Manager

About Abby Care

Our mission is to redefine care for the most vulnerable. The healthcare system is failing the underserved. It's a struggle to find care, to afford care, and to receive quality care.

We are a company that is transforming the healthcare experience for low-income families through purpose-built, thoughtful technology.

We are led by a founder who grew up on Medicaid (public insurance) and personally knows the desperation of not being able to afford medically-necessary care. Here, we believe that anything can be achieved through pure will, determination, and grit. We value builders with a similar mindset.

The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and empathetic leader to join us. You’ll be working to help bring care to real families. Your role is to oversee and provide guidance to our Community Outreach team and share details of our mission with families to help our information reach as many people as possible. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee team performance. Every month you will conduct a performance review on all team members to identify areas where they are excelling and areas for improvement based on our internal goals and metrics.
  • Interviewing and Training of new and existing team members. You will be part of the interview process for potential candidates and also work to train them. If new processes are implemented you will also be in charge of training existing members of the team
  • Carry-out outreach efforts. You’ll work with the team to spread our mission far-and-wide. Your role is critical in building and maintaining relationships with our most important providers/community partners.
  • Cross functional team communications. You will communicate team feedback to leadership and work alongside them to change and improve strategies/efforts. Also work alongside other pillars of the team to improve the overall patient experience.
  • Building relationships with families. You’ll be in charge of meeting families where they are in the community and sharing information at events, resource fairs, meetups, etc. Your role is critical in making sure more families can get access to care.
  • Get Abby Care’s name out there. You’ll be responsible for getting our information and materials all around the greater Denver & Co Springs areas.
  • Spearhead outreach strategy and efforts. Take charge in developing new ways to create awareness for our brand by leveraging our own community and our most trusted partners.

The Requirements

  • Must currently reside in the Springfield or Greater Boston area and have the ability to drive with a car (valid driver license). Must be willing to drive to nearby areas to support the team on a weekly basis.
  • At least 2-3 years of Community Outreach / Business Development or Sales/Partnerships in a professional role.
  • Experience leading teams in dynamic and fast paced settings
  • Excellent execution skills. You know how to handle complex and cross-functional initiatives, set goals, optimize workflows, and solve problems to get to your goal.
  • Deep empathy, endless tenacity, charisma, and attention to the finest details.

Our Value Prop to You

  • Environment for growth and learning. You will have the opportunity to drive great impact and gain exposure to all functions of the company. At Abby Care, you can flex multiple realms of your interpersonal skillset and creativity.
  • An energizing, compassionate team. Our team cares deeply about each other. We strive to elevate and uplift each other in our day-to-day work to do the best for our families. We don't believe in bureaucratic nonsense.
  • A purpose-driven organization. Everyone at Abby Care embodies our mission and is proud of the work we do. You will be a key part of our team

Who We're Looking For

This role would be a fit for you if you have the following:

  • Pride in being the jack-of-all trades.
  • Everyone has heard of the ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none’ quote. However, what most people missed is the second half of the quote ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one’. You know this, and it’s your superpower.
  • Operational excellence.
  • Strategy is 30%, and execution is the other 70% that gets you to the finish line. Your uncanny advantage is your strong strategic thinking coupled with your speed for execution. For teams you work with, you are known for bringing operational velocity - which is speed with a clear direction.
  • Execution horsepower.
  • You take pride in getting things done and delivering great work. For teams you work with, you are known for always exceeding expectations and raising the bar for yourself and for everyone else.
  • Compassion for underserved families.
  • You truly view this as an opportunity to help the most vulnerable. Low-income families are often turned away from care and treated with little respect in healthcare. You’re fired up to flip this narrative!
  • Team-player and beginner's mindset.
  • You thrive in a team and are willing to learn. You are willing to admit mistakes and have an open mindset to new avenues of problem-solving.

If you're passionate and excited about delivering life-changing care to families in need, working with a tight-knit team, and making an impact, don’t hesitate to apply. One small action can always change an entire trajectory. This is a role for people who are hungry and ready to roll-up their sleeves.
