Parts Consolidation Officer (Northern Operations)
Permanent full-time role working a 9 day fortnight roster
Residential role – live in Weipa

About the role

We are looking for a Parts Consolidation Officer to undertake and complete parts supply for scheduled work at our Weipa operation.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who has prior experience in a warehouse operation, can successfully multi-task, has good SAP knowledge and operates in a manner where safety is paramount.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Parts Consolidation, and working a 9 Day fortnight roster you will:
Ensure speedy resolution of logistical issues;
Expedite future work plans & participate in department maintenance meetings to provide a timely update of parts availability for future weeks plans;
Collate all parts for future weeks work & deliver to the execution teams prior to the start dates for the scheduled work;
Manage and consolidate all materials for site equipment prior to requirement onsite;
Manage the return of parts from work orders through approved processes.
What you’ll bring
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Forklift licence and experience with operating a forklift
A manual C class Drivers Licence
Prior experience working in a warehouse site operation with a good safety record (highly desirable)
Good problem-solving skills and striving for continuous improvement
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Exposure to site operations or relevant materials management qualifications
HR Licence
Knowledge of SAP, in particular the Warehousing module
Excel knowledge
A sound knowledge of parts supply or warehousing

Where you’ll be working
Our Weipa operations in Far North Queensland includes three bauxite mines, processing facilities, shiploaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals.
Amrun, our newest mine, was completed in 2018 and will extend our Weipa bauxite operations by decades, significantly building on our 55-year history on the Western Cape, and providing jobs and supporting business growth in the region. The mine is located on traditional land. We work closely with the Traditional Owners to implement our agreements, ensuring that the benefits generated from mining support future generations and that important cultural heritage sites are identified and preserved. by decades to come and significantly build on our 55-year history on the Western Cape.
