Parts Supervisor

Job description

Our client are currently recruiting for an experienced Parts Supervisor to join their team in Rainton. They are looking for someone who has a proven commercial parts experience ideally within a franchised dealership.

You must provide the highest standard of quality and service; and build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers. As a Parts Supervisor, you will be a key player in managing the efficient flow of parts and supplies to support our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and distributing parts in a timely manner.
• Monitor parts availability and proactively address any shortages or surpluses.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms where necessary.
• Assist customers and internal departments with part inquiries, providing expert advice and recommendations.
• Ensure all parts are correctly billed and accurately entered into the system.
• Train and mentor team members, ensuring a high standard of performance and customer service.
• Uphold health and safety standards within the parts department.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a Parts Supervisor or extensive knowledge of parts in an automotive, construction, or industrial setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Solid communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Parts Supervisory: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
