Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook (Indian Pastries and bakes) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in baking and pastry preparation. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious desserts and pastries that delight our customers, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creativity and attention to detail, ensuring visual appeal.
- Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items to enhance customer offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety and quality of all baked goods.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, cake decorating, and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating visually appealing desserts.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques within the culinary field.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.77-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
