Job Summary
Salary: £26,000
Hours: Monday - Saturday shifts allocated between 7:30am - 8:30pm and from 6am for Admissions
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are holding a Patient Access Assessment day on Wednesday 29th January 2025, at 9am where we are hiring for several roles across our Patient Access team, including:
- Admissions: 33 Grosvenor Place, London SW1X 7HY
- Contact Centre: 40 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7AW
Once you apply for the assessment day you will be shortlisted and screened accordingly before being booked in for the day, but please ensure you are available to attend the days as mentioned before applying.
What will your duties include? (Admissions role: patient facing)
- Meet and greet all day cases, inpatients and visitors
- Ensure any outstanding patient demographic and financial information is complete at the point of arrival
- Liaise with insurance companies and other third party payers as required to ensure relevant authorisation is in place
- Collect payments as required using the integrated payment systems
- Complete the Administrative Admission process with the patient ensuring a patient/guarantor signature is obtained
- Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients
- Promote and encourage sign up to the CCL MyChart App to enable patients to manage their own healthcare information
- Communicate effectively with other relevant departments within the hospital to deliver a seamless patient journey
What will your duties include? (Contact Centre Advisor role: non-patient facing)
- Facilitate all scheduling requirements to ensure a highly efficient, customer focused outpatient booking service
- Work proactively and collaboratively to ensure all patients with outstanding registration data are contacted and scheduling is completed in accordance with agreed time scales
- Collect accurate and complete demographic and financial details
- Liaise with insurance companies and other payers to ensure relevant authorisation is in place
- Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients and collect fees where appropriate
- Promote and encourage sign up to the CCL MyChart App to enable patients to manage their own financial and demographic information Assign incomplete bookings as appropriate to the pre-registration work queue for completion (demographic and financial information)
- Communicate effectively with other relevant departments within the hospital to deliver a seamless patient journey
What we need from you?
- Relevant experience in a healthcare related setting and/or professional front desk service environment preferred
- Experience of patient bookings via hospital computer software preferred
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc
- Outstanding customer service, communication, confidentiality and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to step outside comfort level, adapt to new challenges and assist the team
- Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently
