  • 2x permanent, part time positions working 20 hours per week.

About the Role

As a Patient Administration Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Patient Administration Services Department. This is a multi-tasked role in a fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. We are looking for someone who can maintain high-quality output under pressure, work independently, and adapt quickly to new processes and systems. About the Team

The Patient Administration Services team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where clerks are expected to show initiative and meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work. You will be required to learn and apply new processes quickly, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. The team is focused on meeting MOH targets and maintaining a customer-centric approach in all service deliveries.


About you

  • Tertiary education or relevant work experience
  • At least 1 year experience working in a clerical environment in the health sector
  • Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office and a variety of clinical and non-clinical IT systems

Whilst not essential, qualifications in hospital administration or medical terminology is highly desirable.

  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
