Patient Care Assistant (PCA) – Global Eye Clinic, Mumbai

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and responsible Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join the clinical team at Global Eye Clinic Mumbai. The role involves supporting patient care services, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across all patient areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients during registration, consultation, admission, and discharge processes
• Support nursing staff and ophthalmic technicians in daily clinical activities
• Help patients with mobility, positioning, and preparation for eye examinations and surgeries
• Ensure patient comfort before and after procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, glaucoma, and retinal treatments
• Guide patients through OPD, diagnostic areas, OT, and recovery rooms for smooth workflow
• Provide assistance to elderly, disabled, and post-operative patients
• Maintain strict hygiene and infection control standards in all patient care areas

Clinic Cleaning & Hygiene Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain OPD rooms, waiting areas, diagnostic rooms, and patient interaction spaces
• Ensure regular sanitization of frequently touched surfaces (chairs, door handles, counters, etc.)
• Support housekeeping standards in OT support areas and recovery zones as per clinic protocol
• Dispose of biomedical and general waste safely as per hospital guidelines
• Ensure the clinic environment remains neat, organized, and presentable at all times
• Report any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors
• Coordinate patient flow between departments and support smooth clinic operations
• Assist in file handling, and coordination tasks
• Support clinical team during emergencies under supervision

Required Skills

• Prior experience in hospital/clinic setup preferred but not mandatory
• Good communication skills : Hindi or Marathi
• Polite, compassionate, and patient-friendly attitude
• Ability to maintain cleanliness, discipline, and hygiene standards
• Team-oriented and willing to follow hospital protocols strictly

Preferred Experience

• Experience in hospital setup preferred
• Exposure to OT support, daycare surgery, or patient handling is an advantage
• Freshers with interest in healthcare and patient care may apply
