Patient Care Assistant, Module 9

Consultations, breast imaging and diagnostic tests are co-ordinated within our clinic providing the gold standard in diagnosis and treatment for our Breast patients. Many patients will have a diagnosis of Breast Cancer and the care and support you provide will be rewarding with the work you do really making a difference. The successful applicant will be committed to providing patients with the highest standard of care and have a sound work ethic.

This is a part time position working 24 hours Monday to Friday based at Manukau Health Park. Flexible to work up to 6pm every Tuesday and Thursday is essential.

The Ideal candidate will have;

Proven experience as a Patient Care Assistant in outpatient modules, a clinical environment or a health background are favourable and a special interest in Breast is essential. You will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and a can-do attitude to problem solving.

Excellent communication skills as well as attention to detail are essential. The position is a mix of clinical interaction with patients as well as a high administration component, both of which support the Breast RN, Clinical Nurse Specialist Team and Consultants.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a clinical or health environment
• A special interest in Breast
• Knowledge of PIMS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Level 3 Healthcare Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

The salary range is dependent on skills and experience and will be paid in line with the National Administration Collective agreement.
