Shields Dental Group is looking for a friendly, organised, confident, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team in Roscrea. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy dental practice. About the Role
As our Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing the patient journey from the moment they contact the practice through to their appointments and ongoing care. You'll ensure every patient receives a warm, professional welcome while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy dental practice.This is a hands-on role that requires someone who isn't afraid to make decisions, take initiative, and tackle challenges head-on. The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, and resilient, with the ability to think on their feet, take ownership of situations, solve problems, and help keep the practice running smoothly in a busy environment. You will work closely with our clinical team and Practice Manager to deliver an exceptional patient experience while maintaining the high standards that Shields Dental Group is known for.

- Someone who takes ownership, shows initiative, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.
Desirable Experience
- Previous reception, administration or customer service experience.
- Experience in a dental, medical or healthcare setting is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Experience with practice management software is beneficial.
- This role may particularly suit someone with experience as a Dental Nurse, Lead Dental Nurse, Patient Coordinator, or Dental Administrator who is looking to progress into a front-of-house role with greater responsibility and opportunities for career development.
