Job Summary:

The Bluegrass Foot Center is seeking a driven and motivated individual looking to expand upon or create new Patient Experience knowledge to join the team. We aim to create a learning environment in which any new hire is provided adequate training time so they may play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients, ensuring a smooth flow of operations within the clinic. Your primary responsibility will be building and maintaining incredible relationships with our beloved patients along with providing consistent and positive patient experience.

While employed with The Bluegrass Foot Centers, you will be given the opportunity to learn, grow, and master basic to expert level patient experience, medical reception, and customer service skills. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients with a smile and helpful attitude
  • Manage, confirm, and schedule appointments for optimum patient flow via telephone and online requests
  • Continuously assess the schedule ensuring optimum patient flow
  • Contact insurance companies to obtain patient coverage information
  • Respond to patient, clinical, and operational concerns timely and effectively
  • Present financial options for patient treatment plans
  • Answer phone, manage incoming patient inquiries, verify patient insurances, ensure co-pays and outstanding balances are collected
  • Engage patients in marketing initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred medical office experience including work with insurance providers, electronic medical records, and practice management software

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations will be made in accordance to ADA rules and regulations:

● Requires walking and standing approximately 50% of the workday

● Ability to sit at a desk for approximately 50% of the workday

● Must be able to exert up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects

● Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment

● Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on a computer

● Must have clarity of vision and the ability to adjust focus

● Must be able to speak and hear clearly

● Must be able to communicate with patients and staff verbally and write legibly

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
