A full time permanent patient journey focused position

The Patient Journey Partner (PJP) is at the center of the new Roche organisation, turning upside down the role we play in society - from mostly offering world-class medicines towards much more partnering, innovating and leading generative disruption. By doing so, the PJP will be directly accountable to deliver better outcomes for patients, their community, the ecosystem and the organisation, faster.
The PJP is an empowered leader and the local face of Roche. They partner closely with all stakeholders directly touching the patient journey in a given therapeutic area, (including but not limited to healthcare professionals, academics, patient advocacy groups and patients) gaining a deep understanding of their needs in order to connect Roche’s capabilities to co-create meaningful solutions.
Key responsibilities include
Brings the outside into Roche - working with partners to uncover potential opportunities that can transform outcomes for patients, faster. You also bring the inside out via Roche expertise, science and knowledge to the NZ Healthcare ecosystem.
Acts as a trusted partner and is the primary (but non-exclusive) point of contact between external stakeholders and Roche.
Stewards Roche’s products through their lifecycle and supports their appropriate use, which includes proactively and reactively sharing scientific, educational and non-promotional information with stakeholders in a truthful and balanced manner.
Partners with patient journey stakeholders to remove roadblocks and unlock possibilities to deliver value for patients and the community.
Leads the local disease area strategy and coordinating in collaboration with others to ensure optimal planning and resource allocation, coordinated omnichannel customer engagement, disease area partnerships and launch excellence in order to execute on local, regional and global outcomes.
Manage activities such as compassionate use, pre-licence access, grants, external materials, clinical trial support, local evidence generation etc. to a high standard, with the oversight and approval of functional enablers.
Who you are
You have a University degree (scientific, economic, or business) with practical understanding of digital innovation methodologies. An advanced degree in life science and/or MBA is a plus.
You have substantial experience in collaborating with healthcare professionals and patient advocacy groups and have strong customer engagement focus across multiple therapy areas. Experience within the field of Ophthalmology would be a plus.
Growth mindset and deep understanding of patient journey(s) and related treatments in a therapeutic area, enabling engagement at the specialist level.
You are strategic in the way you think and a deep listener who is passionate about building and collaborating internally, with therapeutic area experts and related organizations.
You have demonstrated experience in leading projects and cross-functional teams including experience or strong understanding of agile ways of working, and orchestrating cross-functional teams and strategies.
Strong business acumen with desired expertise in commercialization, medical and customer experience excellence.
Excellent verbal and written English communications skills
