Summary

We are seeking a Patient Services Representative with medical billing experience to join our team in Mauldin, South Carolina. This cross‑trained role is essential to ensuring smooth front office operations while supporting accurate and timely billing processes. You will help create a positive patient experience while contributing to the financial health of the practice.

Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Patient Services

  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
  • Manage check‑in/check‑out processes with accuracy and discretion
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments
  • Schedule patient visits, follow‑ups using EMR systems
  • Communicate appointment details and prep instructions clearly
  • Handle incoming calls and messages with courtesy and efficiency
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
  • Support clinical staff with documentation and coordination as needed

Billing Support

  • Assist with insurance verification, copay collection, and patient balances
  • Post payments and reconcile daily collections
  • Assist with denial follow‑up and correcting claim errors
  • Communicate with patients regarding billing questions or outstanding balances
  • Support billing workflows to ensure timely reimbursement

  • Able to maintain professionalism in sensitive or busy situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a medical front desk or administrative role
  • Hands‑on experience with billing tasks (posting payments, claims review, denials)
  • Familiarity with commercial and government insurance plans
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset

Schedule & Compensation
