Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ or residents’ activities continuously to prevent falls, injuries, or other safety concerns.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Observe and document patient behaviors, vital signs, and responses to care plans using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or autism by implementing personalized care strategies.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning duties and proper infection control practices.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and case managers to ensure comprehensive patient support and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of assisting with ADLs and providing direct support for seniors or individuals with disabilities.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and first aid procedures.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> lifts when necessary.
• Strong conflict management skills to de-escalate challenging situations compassionately.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs such as dementia or autism.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and engaging with patients respectfully and effectively. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.03 - $26.53 per hour
