Job Summary
Brooks Asphalt & Aggregate Ltd has been servicing the Southern Alberta Region for over 45 years and we are seeking a skilled and dependable Asphalt Crew Workers to join our construction team. The ideal candidates will have previous experience in operating pavers, screeds, rollers and shuttle buggies or asphalt raking. Team members will be responsible for assisting in asphalt paving projects, operating heavy equipment, and supporting various aspects of road and infrastructure construction. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience in construction-related tasks. The Asphalt Crew Workers will contribute to the successful completion of projects while maintaining safety standards and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and placement of asphalt for roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces
  • Operate paving equipment such as pavers, screeds, rollers and shuttle buggies to facilitate paving operations
  • Drive commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment to job sites
  • Support in the setup and maintenance of construction sites.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project timelines
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs
  • Follow all safety protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations during all phases of work

Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate pavers, screeds, rollers shuttle buggies safely and efficiently
  • Experience in asphalt raking
  • Valid commercial driver’s license
  • Knowledge of asphalt installation processes and concrete finishing techniques
  • Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality standards

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 – 60.00 per week
