Payroll And Accounts Officer job opportunity

Introduction:
We’re looking for a detail-driven Payroll and Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. You’ll manage end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand while supporting accounts receivable to keep daily operations running smoothly.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys variety and working across multiple finance functions.

Your Role

Process weekly and monthly payroll for Australia and New Zealand
Manage payroll queries, timesheets, and employee setup
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with PAYG, Super, Payroll Tax, etc.
Handle STP reporting and daily bank reconciliations
Process payments (EFT, cheques, direct deposit) accurately
Support accounts receivable: invoicing, collections, and client queries
BAS / GST lodgements
Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations

What You’ll Bring

4+ years’ payroll experience across Australia and New Zealand, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation
ELMO payroll experience preferred, not essential
High attention to detail and advanced Excel skills
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and thrive in a team environment
CPA qualification (or working towards) is desirable, but not essential
