JOB TITLE: Payroll / AR Clerk
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
HOURS: 8:00am – 4pm M-F
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, prepares payroll for all employees; performs general office duties; maintains accounts of resident personal funds; prepares billing statements; collects payments and issues receipts; maintains files; answer telephone; greets visitors; all other duties assigned.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepares and maintains all payroll records including schedules, time records, leave requests, sick and vacation balances, etc.
· Maintains resident fund account, distributes personal funds to residents upon request, reconciles bank statement.
· Prepares monthly invoices, receipts payments for facility, prepares collection notices, maintains accurate records for Medicare and Medicaid.
· Files, types, answers telephone.
· Cross training for Business Office Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Absolute honesty and integrity.
· A willingness to cooperate with fellow employees to promote harmony within the office.
· An understanding of the need for confidentiality.
· A good working knowledge of modern office-oriented computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
· An Associate of Business, Finance or similar degree, or equivalent experience.
· Knowledge of accounting practices
