Role: Payroll Consultant
Hourly Rate range: $45-65/hr commensurate to skills and experience

About the Role
· Process and manage full-cycle monthly payroll for school staff, including teachers and support employees
· Administer and reconcile Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund (ATRF) and other contributions
· Prepare and post payroll journal entries in Sage Intacct
· Perform month-end and year-end payroll and benefits reconciliations
· Ensure compliance with all applicable provincial and federal payroll regulations
What You Bring
· Minimum 5 years of payroll experience
· Preferred: Prior experience with Alberta independent or public schools, including ATRF administration and reconciliation.
· Ability to work with Sage Intacct — including journal entries and reconciliations
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-trust financial environments
· Ability to work independently and meet payroll deadlines without close supervision

Experience:
- Alberta based payroll: 3 years (required)
- ATRF Pension reconciliations: 1 year (preferred)
- use of SAGE INACCT: 3 years (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Canadian Payroll Professional Accreditation (preferred)
