Providing care for patients for over 25 years in Midtown Atlanta, Dentists Drs. Hochberg and Friedman offer comprehensive care including, tooth colored fillings, crowns, dental implants, veneers.
First and foremost, we are a patient-centered practice. We get to know you, talk with you, learn your expectations for your dental health and meet, and even exceed them.
Dr. David Hochberg received his dental degree from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1979. In 1986 he founded his private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been here ever since. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from The University of Florida. In 1984, he completed advanced training in the surgical and restorative phases of Implant Dentistry. He provides dental implants and implant restoration to his patients and welcomes referrals from other dentists.
Position Overview:
A pediatric dentist specializes in the oral health of children from infancy through adolescence. They are trained to provide preventive and therapeutic dental care while addressing the unique emotional and developmental needs of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct oral health assessments for infants, children, and teens.
- Diagnose and treat dental issues such as cavities, gum diseases, and orthodontic concerns.
- Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
- Provide preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
- Educate children and their guardians on proper brushing, flossing, and dietary practices.
- Perform restorative procedures like fillings and crowns in a child-friendly manner.
- Utilize child-friendly techniques to reduce anxiety and build trust with young patients.
- Offer sedation or anesthesia options when necessary for more complex treatments.
- Counsel parents on oral habits, such as thumb-sucking and pacifier use.
- Provide guidance on teething, nutrition, and preventive care strategies.
- Work with other healthcare professionals to manage conditions that affect oral health.
- Refer patients to orthodontists or oral surgeons as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).
- Additional 2-3 years of specialized residency training in pediatric dentistry.
- State licensure and, in some cases, board certification in pediatric dentistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children and parents.
Job Type: 100%
Pay: CHF176’699.00 - CHF227’606.00 per year
