Synergy Protection Group Inc. is seeking a vigilant and tech-savvy SOC Operator to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team at a key client site within the Peel Region. As a SOC Operator, you will be the central hub of security operations monitoring critical systems, coordinating responses, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property in real time.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the SOC Operator is responsible for monitoring and managing all security systems, responding to alarms and incidents, and coordinating communication between field security personnel and command staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and alarm panels in real time
• Dispatch security personnel in response to incidents, alarms, or service requests
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions in detailed logs and reports
• Conduct video playback and reviews for investigative purposes as requested
• Answer and triage emergency and non-emergency calls via radio, phone, or intercom
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas through electronic systems
• Liaise with on-site security guards and supervisors during incidents
• Track patrols, maintenance issues, and security breaches
• Maintain situational awareness and escalate critical issues as per protocols
• Assist with access card issuance, system updates, and shift logs
• Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid G Class Driver's License
• Minimum 1 year of security experience in SOC or control room experience
• Experience with CCTV, access control software, and incident reporting platforms
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective during high-stress situations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
