About The Role:
We are looking for a knowledgeable, people-first People Advisor to join our global People Shared Services team, based in Kochi. You will be the first point of contact for employees and managers across multiple countries, delivering high-quality, consistent HR advisory support through our case management platform while contributing to the continuous improvement of our people processes and systems.

You will work as part of a distributed team of People Advisors spanning North America, Europe, India, and Brazil, collaborating closely to deliver a seamless experience for over 2,400 employees worldwide. In addition to your day-to-day advisory work, you will develop a subject matter expertise (SME) specialism, deepening your skills in a defined area of the people function and acting as a go-to resource for your colleagues.


Main Responsibilities:

Employee & Manager Advisory

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, handling queries across the full employee lifecycle through our case management system (Zendesk/Compass).
  • Provide timely, accurate, and empathetic advice on HR policies, employment matters, and people processes, with a strong understanding of Indian labour law.
  • Support employees and managers with absence management, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policy.
  • Maintain CSAT and SLA standards, consistently meeting or exceeding team quality targets for ticket response and resolution times.

Employee Lifecycle Operations

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, coordinating across HR, IT, and line management to deliver smooth transitions within defined turnaround times.
  • Process employee data changes accurately in Oracle HCM, maintaining the integrity of our HR system of record.
  • Support the administration of employee documentation, including contracts, addendums, and employment verifications in line with local legal requirements.
  • Contribute to payroll inputs and liaise with the payroll team to ensure accuracy and compliance with local payroll cycles.

Subject Matter Expertise (SME)

Each People Advisor holds an SME specialism that supports the wider team. Current SME areas include:

  • Process Excellence and continuous improvement
  • Talent Acquisition operations
  • Learning & Development coordination
  • Systems, Technology & AI Adoption
  • Absence & wellbeing

Your own SME specialism will be agreed at offer stage based on team need and your background. In your SME area, you will own knowledge resources, support colleagues with queries, and lead or contribute to improvement projects.

People Systems & Data

  • Work confidently in Oracle HCM and our case management tools Zendesk internally known as Compass, maintaining accurate records and contributing to data quality.
  • Support the development and adoption of self-service HR content via our People & Culture intranet hub (SharePoint).
  • Contribute to the team's use of AI-assisted tools and support adoption of new technology across People Shared Services.
  • Help generate and interpret people data and metrics to inform service improvement decisions.

Compliance & Pay Transparency

  • Maintain awareness of Indian employment legislation
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and policy reviews, escalating complex matters appropriately.
  • Contribute to the accurate and compliant administration of reward and benefits processes in the Portuguese market.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate actively in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and People Shared Services initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, documentation, and the overall employee experience.
  • Engage with employee listening data (Peakon/Cyncly Voice) to identify themes and support action planning.
  • Support project work and change initiatives across the People & Culture function as required.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven 4-6 years of experience in an HR advisory, generalist, or shared services role, with strong knowledge of Indian employment law and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise effectively, and meet SLA targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English; ability to communicate clearly with a global, culturally diverse workforce.
  • Experience working with HR information systems (Oracle HCM or similar) and case/ticketing platforms such as Zendesk.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and process compliance.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across time zones as part of a distributed team.
  • Experience in a global or multi-country HR environment, ideally within a technology or software company (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and its implications for HR data handling; awareness of the EU Pay Transparency Directive is an advantage (preferred).
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted HR tools or a strong interest in HR technology and automation (preferred).
  • Experience developing or maintaining HR knowledge bases, intranet content, or employee self-service resources (preferred).
  • Background or demonstrated interest in one or more SME specialism areas: Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Process Excellence, or Systems & Data (preferred).
