Introduction:
We are looking for a People & Culture Administration to join our team at Columbia Aged Care. This is a true HR generalist support role, designed for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves, gain exposure to the entire employee lifecycle, and grow their career within a supportive and fast-paced healthcare environment.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will be the administrative backbone of our HR function, ensuring our facility is compliant, our people are supported, and our workplace culture thrives.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, draft employment contracts, coordinate pre-employment checks, and facilitate a warm, seamless onboarding experience for new starters.
  • Roster Planning: Support operational team in roster planning to ensure appropriate staffing coverage to meet essential care minute requirements.
  • Employee Lifecycle & HRIS: Maintain accurate and highly confidential employee records within our HRIS (ELMO), processing variations, parental leave, and offboarding documentation.
  • First-Point of Contact: Act as the friendly face of the P&C team, answering general HR queries from staff regarding leave, policies, and basic award entitlements.
  • Compliance Management: Proactively track and update mandatory staff compliance, including National Police Checks, AHPRA registrations, and Visa working rights.
  • Culture & Engagement: Support the coordination of P&C initiatives, staff recognition programs, and wellbeing events to drive a positive and highly engaged workplace culture.
What You Will Bring

  • Experience: Ideally 2 years of experience working in an HR Administration or HR Coordinator role, ideally within Aged Care, healthcare, or a similarly fast-paced industry.
  • Education: Has relevant tertiary education in Human Resources (or working towards one) is highly preferred.
  • HR Knowledge: A foundational understanding of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), and standard employment lifecycles.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience using HRIS platforms (such as ELMO) and or ability to learn new system.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage strict compliance deadlines and highly confidential information.
  • The "People" Factor: You are approachable, empathetic, and possess excellent communication skills, with a genuine desire to build a long-term career in Human Resources.
  • Requirements: A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or the ability to obtain one).
