Reporting directly into the Chief People Officer, you will act as a trusted advisor across Windana, providing responsive and strategic HR support. This is a generalist role for someone who thrives in environments where they can have a positive impact on strengthening and building People Leader capabilities.

You will partner with Senior Leaders on the full employee lifecycle with a strong focus on coaching managers, managing change processes, driving engagement initiatives and employee relations.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a difference in the Not-for-Profit sector working with an amazing and close-knit P&C team.

The P&C Business Partner is responsible for the following areas:

Partner with People Leaders to build capable, engaged, and high-performing teams through expert HR advice on organisational design, workforce planning, performance, and succession.
Provide tailored coaching and strategic advice to leaders to enhance team dynamics, engagement, and retention.
Use workforce insights and HR analytics to inform decisions, identify risks, and evaluate the impact of people initiatives.
Build trusted, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external partners to drive people-focused outcomes.
Act as a trusted internal consultant on complex HR and ER/IR matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, industrial instruments, and organisational policy.
Lead or support workplace investigations, grievance management and mediations. Provide authoritative advice on Awards, enterprise agreements, and Fair Work legislation.
Contribute to the management of workforce risk through proactive identification of people-related challenges and opportunities.
Lead and support people-centred change initiatives Partner with the Organisation Development and Learning Manager to strengthen leadership capability and embed a continuous improvement mindset.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years HR generalist or Business Partnering role.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management.
Demonstrated success actively engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
A conceptual thinker with the ability to develop fit for purpose initiatives that deliver strategic objectives.
Success in resolving employee relations issues in line with legislative requirements and procedural fairness.
Demonstrated success coaching, mediation and performance management
A well-seasoned communicator and able to present in appropriate style for all audiences.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships across the organisation.
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook; and familiarity with HR systems (ELMO, Culture Amp).
Experience working in community service sector would be an advantage.
