People And Culture Director

We are now seeking a People and Culture Director to lead our People and Culture team at EIT.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $145,000.000 and $160,000.00,[JW1] dependent on skills and experience.

The People and Culture Director is based in at our Taradale campus in Napier, reporting to the Operations Lead and will be responsible for:

• Providing strategic and operational values-based leadership to the EIT People and Culture team.

• Partnering with senior leaders to develop and inform the strategic direction of EIT with a focus on high quality people solutions that enable business success.

• Design, development, and delivery of consistent, high-quality, equity minded, people and culture frameworks, policies, and standards

• Expertise level advice and leadership on employment and industrial relations, maintaining partnership relationships and managing escalated matters to mitigate business risk.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Significant experience in leading people and culture across all areas of human resources

• Experience in leading and advocating the use of te reo, tikanga and mātauranga Māori in the workplace

• Extensive experience and capability in employment and industrial relations, including providing support for leaders and managing escalated matters.

• Demonstrated experience and capability in providing thought leadership through to delivery across equity and inclusion and organisational development.
