The Opportunity
Join our high-performing P&C team as a People & Culture Business Partner and provide strategic advice and support across key Human Resources activities. As a senior member of the P&C team, you’ll partner with leaders to guide organisational change, talent & succession planning, leadership development and workplace relations. With one direct report to manage, this role also contributes to building broader team capability through coaching and mentoring.
This role offers a chance for an experienced HR professional to leverage their expertise in workplace relations and leadership development in an impactful way.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance on employee and industrial relations, including compliance with employment legislation, enterprise agreements and bargaining processes.
Support organisational structure reviews, workforce planning and cultural change initiatives aligned with business strategy.
Lead performance review processes and contribute to leadership development, succession planning, and capability programs in partnership with the Talent function.
Coach senior leaders to strengthen people management practices and leadership capability.
Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including unions, regulatory bodies, and internal leadership teams.
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives and promote adaptability across the workforce
Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager – People & Culture, you’ll become a key member of a passionate and collaborative team of HR professionals. Our People & Culture team brings together deep expertise across talent acquisition, employee relations, organisational development, and generalist human resources.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
10+ years experience as a Senior HR professional in a large, heavy industry organsiation such as construction, mining, or energy
Degree qualifications in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Organisational Psychology, or Industrial Relations.
Substantial experience in developing and executing industrial relations strategies, policies, and negotiating enterprise bargaining agreements.
A data driven approach to HR decision making, with the ability to analyse complex information and make informed recommendations.
Proven ability to mentor, guide, and develop team members, particularly within HR-related functions
Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape of renewable energy
Flexibility to travel interstate
