Introduction:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our team in Newcastle West. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance across a broad range of HR matters. From coaching managers and supporting workforce planning, to managing complex employee relations cases and leading change initiatives, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive and supportive workplace.
You’ll draw on your strong knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation to provide clear and practical advice, while building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Your ability to communicate with impact, influence decision-making, and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality will see you succeed. We’re looking for someone with case management experience, solid ER/IR expertise, and the confidence to partner with leaders to achieve both people and business outcomes.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to act as a business partner to line managers by embedding HR strategy and providing professional, commercial and reliable HR guidance and support with the objective of adding value to the business.
Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- Current experience in advising, guiding and supporting stakeholders on a broad range of HR matters
- Ability to engage, inspire, influence, coach and deliver
- Solid working knowledge of current general HR practices and processes and awareness of emerging trends
- Sound knowledge of ER/IR legislation and understanding of current employment regulations
- Strong interpersonal, relationship and customer service skills, well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong consulting and negotiating skills and business acumen
- Demonstrated understanding of change management and ability to personally adapt to a changing environment
- A tertiary qualification in Recruitment and/or Human Resources or a related degree OR strong experience within HR in a customer focused industry
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Registered member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) (Desirable)
- LinkedIn Recruiter Certification (Desirable)
