About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and people-centred HR professional. People in Dublin Simon Community are our greatest strength and asset. As an HR Business Partner, you will help influence how we manage and develop our HR practices in areas such as employee relations, retention, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, wellbeing, and implementing new legislation. You will also play a key role in payroll administration, ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time — a foundational part of the employee experience. In addition, you will provide information and support to staff and managers on a range of issues. You will report to the HR Manager and partner with line managers as well as with the Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams, and the wider HR Function.
Working Hours & Location: 9am - 5:30pm, office based in Smithfield, Dublin 7, hybrid working accommodated.
Contract: Permanent
Salary Range: From €38,000 depending on experience
Business Partner Responsibilities:
· Responsible for partnering with specified business functions and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to provide HR expertise.
· Lead payroll preparation, administration and associated processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
· Provide information, advice and policy guidance to line managers on a range of employee relations issues.
· Extend support and guidance on all employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
· Ensure local management and HR practices and policies are fully compliant with Irish employment legislation and the values and practices of the organisation.
· Drive onboarding and off-boarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and report analysis.
· Manage and maintain the HR information systems to ensure data integrity.
· Product monthly reporting on HR metrics; conduct analysis and create reports on various HR key performance indicators.
· Support the creation & implementation of employee engagement strategies such as surveys, analysis, group facilitation, engagement activities and events.
· Review, update, write and implement HR policies and key administrative processes in line with current legislation and organisational needs.
· Contribute to the implementation of HR and organisational requirements for compliance with and delivery of quality standards, internal and external audits, and change programmes.
· Partner with Talent Acquisition Team and Learning & Development Teams to deliver cross-functional deliverables and high levels of customer service.
· Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the HR Manager.

Essential skills and experience:
· Demonstrated experience in payroll preparation and administration, with strong attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
· 3rd level qualification in HRM / HRD (Human Resource Management / Human Resource Development) or equivalent.
· 2 years previous experience in Human Resources with grounding in Employee Relations and HR Operations.
· Analyse and report on HR metrics to inform business decisions and improvements.
· Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on problem-solving.
· Demonstratable interpersonal skills, with the ability to self-motivate and think positively.
· Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR policy implementation, and HR practices.
· Excellent IT skills, including the use of HRIS and Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, MS Forms).
Desirable skills and experience:
· CIPD membership.
· Experience working in the non-profit sector.
· Understanding of homeless issues in Ireland and the areas that Dublin Simon Community operate in.
