About Silvalet

Silvalet is a growing home care and caregiving services company based in Trivandrum. We connect compassionate, reliable individuals with families and patients who need non-medical support — at hospitals, at home, or while travelling. We are now expanding our team of Personal Care Assistants who can provide dignified, professional support to those in need.

Role Overview

As a Personal Care Assistant (Non-Medical Caregiver), you will provide essential non-clinical support to patients and elderly individuals. This is a freelance role, meaning you choose your availability and take assignments that suit your schedule. No medical background is required — what matters most is your kindness, reliability, and willingness to be there for someone who needs you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hospital Bystander / Patient Attendant: Stay with and attend to patients admitted in hospitals; ensure they are comfortable, supported, and not left unattended.
  • OP Assistance: Accompany patients to outpatient appointments, help with registration, waiting, and ensuring they reach consultations smoothly.
  • Outing & Mobility Assistance: Escort clients on outings, medical trips, social visits, or errands; provide physical support and companionship throughout.
  • Daily Living Support: Assist with basic daily activities such as mobility, feeding, personal hygiene, and ensuring comfort — under family or caregiver guidance.
  • Companion Care: Provide emotional support, meaningful companionship, and a reassuring presence to elderly or recuperating clients.
  • Safe Escorting: Help clients navigate hospitals, clinics, and public spaces safely; assist with wheelchairs, seating, and mobility aids as needed.
  • Family Coordination: Communicate updates and observations to the client's family and the Silvalet coordination team as required.
  • Reliability & Punctuality: Arrive on time for each assignment and maintain a professional, caring attitude throughout the engagement.

Eligibility & Requirements

1. Education: 10+2 (Plus Two) or above from a recognised board.

2. Language & Communication: Good communication skills in Malayalam and/or English; ability to interact warmly with patients and families.

3. Attitude: Empathetic, compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient — the ability to be a calm, comforting presence.

4. Reliability: Punctual, trustworthy, and professional in conduct during every assignment.

5. Gender: Open to candidates of all genders.

6. Driving Licence: Candidates with a valid driving licence will be given high preference, as many assignments involve escorting and outing support.

What We Offer

  • Freelance Flexibility: Work on your own schedule — accept assignments that fit your availability. Ideal as a primary or supplementary income source.
  • Competitive Pay Per Assignment: Earn based on each job you complete, with no fixed minimum commitment required.
  • Consistent Work Opportunities: Regular assignments for active and reliable caregivers.
  • Training & Onboarding: We provide orientation and guidance before your first assignment — no prior caregiving experience necessary.
  • Supportive Team: Our coordination team is always available to guide you before and during assignments.
