Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential assistance and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help clients with mobility around the home or outside
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals
Skills
- Experience in home community care and working with people with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
- Knowledge of senior care and memory care practices
- Ability to provide direct support in a compassionate manner
- Competence in meal preparation and caregiving tasks
- Understanding of home care procedures and group home settings
