Job Title: Caregiver for 5-Year-Old Child with Down Syndrome
About the Position:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to provide dedicated support for our 5-year-old child with Down Syndrome. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that encourages growth, independence, and joy in daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, hands-on care throughout the day.
- Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and dressing.
- Support therapy goals (speech, occupational, or physical) through structured play and activities.
- Encourage social, emotional, and developmental growth.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents about the child’s progress, needs, and daily activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience caring for children, especially those with special needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Basic knowledge of developmental delays and Down Syndrome preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 5-8pm, Sat-Sun 8am-3pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.89 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Work Location: In person
