Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing environments, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients' lives. Candidates should be attentive, patient, and capable of handling physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and medication administration. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving hospice care, contributing to their comfort and independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques using proper safety procedures
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Document care provided and maintain detailed records in compliance with regulations
- Assist with specialized care needs including dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
- Familiarity with patient care techniques and caregiving responsibilities is highly desirable
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing skills is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience in dementia care or hospice care is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature are essential for success in this role
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
