Personal Injury Legal Assistant

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical/Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our facility by handling various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice for the patient's medical treatment.

Duties

• Assist personal injury manager with various tasks.
• Schedule new referrals.
• Send out bills/records in a timely manner.
• Call patients to schedule follow-ups, procedures, etc.
• Update spreadsheets, patient chart, email attorney offices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adhere to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law firm or medical office that handles motor vehicle accidents.
• Understanding of legal and medical terminology.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, preparing emails, etc.
• Knowledge of health insurance is a plus.
• Excellent clerical skills with attention to detail in documents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and law firms.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational abilities.
• Self-motivated to be able to see a task that needs to be done and be able to complete it.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
