Personal Progress Tutor
  • One Sixth Form , Ipswich
  • Commencing January /February 2025
  • 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year – Permanent
  • Salary: £27,803 per annum - £31,364 per annum (Actual Salary £24,206 per annum - £27,306 per annum)

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Personal Progress Tutor, providing essential support and guidance to learners across various college departments. This role plays a vital part in nurturing student success and facilitating their development both during and after their educational journey. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tutoring principles and a passion for motivating and empowering learners. Previous experience in Further Education (FE) and a pastoral role would be advantageous, along with a minimum of Education Level 4 qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective learner support, guidance, and tutoring across different college departments.
  • Assist learners in setting and achieving personal and academic goals.
  • Facilitate group sessions and workshops to enhance student learning and development.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with learners, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding in supporting learners through challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
  • Stay abreast of best practices in tutoring and student support services.
