Job Summary

Accept shopping orders via shopping app, phone, or email, shop for listed groceries, process and pack the items at checkout and then pass the completed orders on to a designated driver for delivery or notate order as customer pick up. Operates cash register to accept payment for merchandise or services.

General Accountabilities

• Assisting with order collection, packaging, loading, and payment

• Accurately perform cashier duties – handling cash, checks and credit card transactions with precision while following company policies and procedures

• Selecting and retrieving items from shopping lists, and ensuring quality, freshness, and expiration dates

• Communicating effectively with team members and delivery drivers

• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints or questions.

• Maintains clean and orderly checkout area.

•Advising customers on suitable substitutes for dated, discontinued, or unavailable products

• Any other duties assigned

Skills

Reading, Typing and Computer Skills, Problem solving, Mathematics, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Customer Service

Physical Demands

•Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time

•Lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of

force regularly to move objects to and from the register belt.

•Visual Acuity – Having close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a

computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts/details

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week
