We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with patients in various settings, including home care, nursing homes, and hospice environments. Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Assist with mobility and physical support, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Document patient care activities accurately and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred, particularly in senior care or home care settings.
• Knowledge of medication administration practices and hospice care is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for patient mobility assistance.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
