Personal Support Worker (Psw) And Health Care Aide (Hca)

We are looking for a Caregiver to provide support and assistance to client with cerebral palsy. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with clients who have physical or developmental disabilities. You will play a key role in helping our client with daily tasks, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere.

Candidates must be comfortable with dogs as client have canine companions. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and have a genuine love for both caregiving and animals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist client with daily living activities, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Implement individualized care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Provide mobility assistance (transferring from bed to wheelchair, moving around the home, etc.).
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or changes.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities, exercises, or recreational activities.
• Ensure the client’s environment is safe, clean, and conducive to their health and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare team members.
• Keep accurate records of care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition.

• QUALIFICATIONS :
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience, preferably with clients with cerebral palsy or similar conditions.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Compassionate, patient, and sensitive to the unique needs of clients with disabilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift [90 pounds], stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
