Functional 45 Training (“F45") has over 1800 studios in 45 countries and we are western Canada’s fastest growing studio with an amazing community of members & trainers.

What makes F45 different?

  • Daily workouts are 45-minutes with a focus on functional strength training and HIIT circuits using the industry’s most innovative technology and equipment
  • Daily workouts and music are programmed by headquarters and deployed globally each day. Members will never do the same workout twice
  • F45’s exercise science and training team take a periodized approach to planning workouts on quarter by quarter basis
  • Instructors time is 100% dedicated to training and focussing on helping clients without any obligatory, after-hours programming/session planning!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Demonstrate and deliver highly energetic and fun pre-programmed F45 workouts for up to 30 members with another instructor (two instructors per class)
  • Ensure safety of members with regards to heart rate and exercise technique, providing safety corrections and exercise modifications (regressions & progressions) when required
  • Ensure training floor and equipment is clean and tidy before, during and after each class
  • Review 5-min session tips video the day before a scheduled workout
  • Set-up equipment for next day's work out if working the last class of the day (paid)
  • Help trial customers and new members sign-up for next classes following their workout
  • Follow up with first-time trial members to ensure they had a great class and book them into their next class

Qualifications and Skills

  • High level of personal fitness and regular active participation in a physical exercise routine
  • Energetic and motivating
  • Punctual and reliable; all classes are set, you just need to know layouts, modifications and station settings prior to the start of each day
  • Able to work flexible hours, early mornings, afternoons, or evenings, including weekends
  • Team player. Openness to sharing with and learning from fellow coaches. We can all be better together. Our principles are: Radical Transparency, Accountability, Reliability.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

  • Positive, fun and outgoing personality!
  • Personal Training Certification or Group Fitness Instructor accreditation through a nationally recognized organization such as Canfit-Pro or similar.
  • Weekend and evening availability.

OR

  • Post-Secondary education related to the health and fitness industry (Kinesiology or Physical Education)
  • Personal training/group training experience ISa requirement. You must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification

Wages:

  • Base: $25-$30 per class
  • Training and next day set-up hours: $40- $45 per class/set up
