Role Overview

We’re looking for a qualified and reliable Pest Control Technician to join the Pestcare team. You’ll be responsible for servicing a range of commercial contracts – from routine inspections and proofing to emergency callouts and eradication treatments. This is a field-based role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent reporting skills, and a confident, professional approach to client communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out pest inspections and site risk assessments.
• Identify infestations and recommend appropriate treatment and prevention plans.
• Apply pest control methods in line with PMU, CRRU, and industry best practices.
• Document every visit with accurate reports, treatment logs, and photographic evidence.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with clients on-site.
• Attend emergency callouts and out-of-hours issues as needed (on-call rotation).
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and discretion.
• Support client audits and maintain strong documentation trails.

Essential Requirements

• Current PMU Licence (Irish Pest Management Licence) – mandatory.
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in pest control (commercial or industrial).
• Full, clean Irish driving licence (company van provided).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working alone, across multiple sites, and in sometimes sensitive environments.
• Up-to-date Safe Pass and Manual Handling certs (or willing to obtain).

Desirable

• Experience working in healthcare, food production, or government/Defence settings.
• Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
• Confined space or working at height certification.
