Role Overview:
We are seeking reliable and passionate Pet Care Assistants / Dog Handlers to join our team. This role is ideal for animal lovers who are dedicated to ensuring dogs are well cared for, happy, and safe. You’ll play a hands-on role in supervising dog interactions, providing enrichment, and maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dog Care: Supervise playgroups, monitor behavior, and ensure dogs are safe, healthy, and engaged during their stay.
• Enrichment Activities: Assist in planning and carrying out stimulating activities to keep dogs mentally and physically active.
• Feeding and Hygiene: Prepare and distribute meals, administer medications (if required), and maintain cleanliness by managing waste and maintaining a tidy space.
• Behavior Monitoring: Observe dogs for signs of stress, illness, or aggression, and report any concerns to the team leader.
• Customer Interaction: Greet owners during drop-off and pick-up, providing updates on their dog's day when necessary.

Requirements:

• A genuine love and understanding of dogs and their behaviour.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Comfortable working with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
• Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the role (e.g., cleaning, handling large dogs).

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a pet care, animal handling, or similar environment.
• Basic understanding of dog behavior and body language.
• First Aid knowledge (specific to pets) is a bonus.
