Gareth McShea, Senior AimPoint Coach, renowned Presenter, and International Coach, is seeking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Assistant Professional to join his team at Edmondstown Golf Club.

This is an exciting opportunity for a PGA Assistant Professional or Trainee to be directly employed by one of Ireland's most respected coaches, while working within a vibrant and forward-thinking parkland club in the heart of South County Dublin. We invite applications from individuals passionate about coaching, with strong retail experience, and a dedication to delivering exceptional service to members and guests.

Role Overview
Working for Gareth McShea and alongside him at Edmondstown Golf Club, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Professional Shop, deliver high-quality coaching, and contribute to a welcoming, high-performance environment.

This position offers a unique platform to learn directly from a world-class coaching professional, gaining the experience and reputation required to progress to senior roles within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to members and guests at all times
• Support the daily operations, merchandising, and retail sales of the Professional Shop
• Provide individual and group coaching to players of all abilities
• Assist with club fittings, custom fitting services, and equipment advice
• Support the organisation and delivery of club competitions, events, and programmes
• Contribute to the continued growth of our junior, ladies, and senior sections
• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and pro-active attitude

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be:

• A PGA Assistant Professional or Registered PGA Trainee
• Passionate about coaching and player development
• Professional, reliable, and highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills
• An excellent communicator who enjoys building lasting relationships with members
• A team player with a positive and proactive approach
• Flexible to work weekends as required
