Job Summary

Post Graduation in Physics with BEd. Job Responsibilities of a Physics Teacher in a Residential School

1. Academic Responsibilities

Plan and deliver clear, concept-based Physics lessons (Theory + Numerical problem solving).Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, lab schedules, and assessment calendars.Teach core topics such as Mechanics, Electricity, Magnetism, Optics, Thermodynamics, and Modern Physics.Conduct regular tests, assignments, practical exams, and model exams.Prepare students for Board Exams (Class 10 & +2) and competitive exams (JEE/NEET foundation).Provide remedial support for weak students and advanced enrichment for high performers.Maintain academic records and result analysis.

2. Laboratory & Practical Responsibilities

Plan and supervise Physics practical sessions safely and effectively.Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of lab equipment.Guide students in writing practical records and project reports.Demonstrate experiments clearly to strengthen conceptual understanding.Follow lab safety protocols strictly in a residential environment.

3. Residential / Hostel Responsibilities

Supervise evening study hours and provide doubt-clearing sessions.Mentor students academically and emotionally.Monitor discipline, study habits, and time management.Support homesick students and encourage a balanced routine.Coordinate with resident principal regarding student progress.

4. Skill & Scientific Development

Develop analytical thinking and scientific temperament.Encourage project-based learning and real-life application of Physics.Organize science exhibitions, quizzes, Olympiad training, and innovation activities.Promote curiosity, questioning attitude, and research mindset.

5. Parent & Institutional Coordination

Attend parent meetings and provide detailed academic feedback.Collaborate with Maths and Chemistry teachers for integrated STEM learning.Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.Assist in inspections, academic planning, and institutional documentation.

6. Administrative & Documentation Duties

Maintain attendance registers and practical records.Prepare question papers, blueprints, marking schemes, and evaluation reports.Analyze student performance and suggest improvement strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
