About the Role

The Pharmaceutical Technician will support pharmacy and healthcare operations across ILHG services and client assignments.

The successful candidate will provide pharmacy technician support, assist with prescription processing and dispensing activities, manage stock and inventory, maintain pharmacy records and documentation, and provide general pharmacy administration and operational support.

The role will involve working closely with pharmacists, pharmacy teams, healthcare clients and patients while ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant procedures and within the permitted scope of the role.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide pharmacy technician support in accordance with established pharmacy procedures and under pharmacist supervision where required.

· Receive and process prescriptions and accurately enter relevant information into pharmacy dispensing systems.

· Prepare, count, measure, package and label medicines for pharmacist verification prior to supply.

· Support dispensing-system workflows and associated data entry.

· Assist with stock ordering, goods receipt, inventory control and expiry-date monitoring.

· Ensure medicines and pharmacy supplies are stored appropriately.

· Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.

· Support PCRS and other pharmacy administration, including preparation and collation of non-clinical claims documentation.

· Assist customers and patients with non-clinical enquiries and refer clinical matters to the pharmacist.

· Support pharmacy compliance documentation within the permitted scope of the Pharmaceutical Technician role.

· Provide pharmacy operational support to ILHG healthcare clients where assigned.

· Assist with pharmacy training logistics, system preparation and candidate onboarding records.

· Follow all health and safety, infection-prevention, confidentiality, data-protection and quality procedures.

Candidate Requirements

· A relevant pharmacy technician, pharmaceutical, healthcare or related qualification/training and/or relevant professional experience.

· Experience working in pharmacy, pharmaceutical, healthcare or another regulated environment.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs and established procedures.

· Good IT, administrative and record-keeping skills.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· The ability to work effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy teams, healthcare clients and patients.

· Experience or training in pharmacy dispensing systems is desirable.

· Competitive salary of €37,000 gross per annum.

· Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
