We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at East Coast Apothecary. This unique role supports both our non-sterile and sterile compounding lab and retail pharmacy operations, offering variety and opportunities for skill development. This is a full time position with the potential for full time.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists and technicians in preparing non-sterile compounded medications (Levels A, B, and C)
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to SOPs, master formulations, and risk assessments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment
- Label and package prescriptions with accuracy and care
- Assist with prescription intake, data entry, and customer service in the retail pharmacy
- Support inventory management of raw materials, supplies, and retail products
- Uphold all safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Kroll (pharmacy software) is an asset
- Previous pharmacy or compounding experience an asset (training provided for the right candidate)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfort with pharmacy software and computer systems an advantage
