Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and organized Pharmacy Assistant to support the operations of our hospital pharmacy in a newly established micro hospital in Kollam. The candidate will assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines, managing inventory, and maintaining pharmacy records.
This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work closely with pharmacists, doctors, and nursing staff to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines as per prescriptions
- Arrange and maintain medicines on pharmacy shelves
- Maintain medicine stock and inventory records
- Check medicine expiry dates and assist in stock rotation
- Assist in receiving and storing medicine supplies from vendors
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and organization
- Support documentation and billing processes
- Coordinate with nursing staff and doctors for medicine requirements
Qualification
- Diploma in Pharmacy Assistant / Relevant Diploma / Plus Two with experience
Experience
- 0–2 years experience preferred (Freshers can also apply)
Skills
- Basic knowledge of medicines and pharmacy operations
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Attention to detail in handling medicines and records
